Hoorah! The temperature has dropped! Admittedly it’s still 21 degrees, but the promise of Autumn is out there. A sniff of winter coats? Even a jumper?! I sneak on a cardi every now and then. On for five minutes – then off!
I want to get out my thick tights, and lambswool jumper (hand wash only).
Anyway, had a super trip to Knightsbridge yesterday. Went to the Laura Ashley shop off Sloane Street to spend my gift voucher.
I got these. Now, if someone could tell me what they’re actually for, I would be grateful. All I know is I fell for them hook, line and sinker! Aren’t they the most?!
Assuming they’re not ashtrays, I suspect they’re for canapés, Mrs Bucket would have a field day with these, I expect. Along with doilies and that. I love doilies, don’t you?
Now to get to what Laura Ashley really represents to me and many other women. The print dress. How could I not buy one?
A proper Autumn dress. Too thick to really wear properly at the moment, but a quick pose will do it. My photographer “John” got preoccupied with the cat, no wonder people do selfies and things!
And this top is from the Laura Ashley archives. Looks quite Christmasy.
That’s it. Well equipped for this Autumn, my collection is complete. And I’m so determined to wear these shoes this Winter. They cost me a fortune a couple of years ago, and like a vintage car, all I seem to do is polish them up!
Will wear these things if it kills me!
Have a good week
